Ichimi is a restaurant in Coral Gables which is a little hidden gem. I have been here a few time and it is always pack (it is also quite a small location), sometime there is a wait for a table (this happened this time, the wait was about 30 minutes). Also they have take-out and is also always busy.

The many is small but packed with different offerings. This time, for appetizer, I ordered a few things including the Bao. I always get the pork belly but this time I changed it up and order the Fried Oyster Bao, 3 pieces, well fried, and delicious.

Bao – Fried Oyster

Next got a classic the Chicken Gyoza, 6 pieces, these are pan fried. You can’t go wrong with these, great dish, specially for sharing.

I tried the Tokoyaki Balls, these were ok, is basically a flour balls, with pieces of octopus, I really liked the sauce it was a mayonnaise base, very tasty. It was something different, not bad, good for sharing, but I do not think that I will order it again.

Lastly, I had the Pork Ramen, this is what I always have. It is just amazing, I have order Ramen at different places and this is hands down the best so far. It is a huge portion, it can be shared. The pork is tender, broth is heavy, and the egg was perfectly cooked.

I really enjoy all the food, specially the Ramen. The prices are very reasonable as you can see from the menu above (*check the website for more updated menu). I would definitely recommend and will come back.

The restaurants website does mention a second locations in Midtown Miami (3252 NE 1st Ave, Miami FL 33137), but I have never been to this one.
